We are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, whom we have personally received as our Savior. He is the most excellent and enjoyable Person. We love Him and endeavor to give Him the first place in all things.
We have been born again of the Father's divine life, are being cleansed by the blood of Jesus, the Son, and being filled with the Holy Spirit.
We highly treasure the Holy Bible as God's revelation of Himself and of His eternal purpose. We hold the common faith which is revealed in the Bible and is confessed by all genuine believers.
We are members of the universal church, the unique Body of Christ. We meet locally as the church in Richmond in order to practice the oneness of the Body with all the Christians in Richmond, whom we accept and welcome in fellowship as brothers and sisters in the household of God.
We are among over 2,000 local churches worldwide standing on the ground of oneness to express and to testify to the one Body of Christ.
We are for the Lord's Recovery
History of the church in Richmond
Praise God! By His sovereign arrangement in His economy, the Church in Richmond was established on November 8th, 1998.
In the beginning, there were only a few saints in Richmond who were meeting on the ground of locality, and the meetings were held either at the saints' homes or in rented facilities. During the past few years, however, the Lord had blessed us with two pieces of property with a total area of 60,400 square feet. The regular Lord's day meeting attendance of the church in Richmond has grown from having about 120 members (counting children) to around 400 members (not counting children) in 2014.
A new meeting hall was under construction at Brown Road Richmond which started in August 2011, and it was built completely in July 2012. While the physical building is going on, the church in Richmond continues its mission of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, conducting Bible studies in homes, and perfecting the believers in the knowledge of the truth and experience of life. Weekly meetings among various age groups -- children, young people, college-aged youth, young adults, career people, and mature ones -- are conducted for the edification of the members.
